How long have you been teaching at SJS and what is your educational background?

I've been teaching at SJS since 2004. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a degree in Elementary/Middle-Level Education.

Why did I become a teacher?

I have always loved learning and understanding how things work, so teaching was a natural fit. I love working with children as well, and providing a space where they can become confident, curious, and independent lifelong learners brings all of those interests together.

Why do I love working at SJS?

We have the best staff, students, and parents at SJS!

What does student success look like to me?

Student success looks like growth in academics, social-emotional learning, and faith. Beyond that, students that combine all of these skills together moving forward, have a growth mindset, and continue to challenge themselves and seek out learning opportunities and use their gifts to serve in society illustrate success.

Favorite Sports Team or Hobby?

I love knitting and anything that gets me outdoors!
