Special Education Teacher

How long have you been teaching at SJS and what is your educational background?

I've been teaching at SJS since 2022. I attended college at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, where I earned a dual certification in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Special Education.

Why did I become a teacher?

I became a teacher because I wanted to serve children as both a model and source of love and acceptance. To meet them exactly where they are, and to help them understand the importance of lifelong learning.

Why do I love working at SJS?

There are so many reasons, but ultimately it comes down to the students, staff, and families. There’s an indescribable sense of community; all really are welcome!

What does student success look like to me?

To me, student success looks like a child who feels loved, knows their worth, and has the desire and confidence to go forth and share their gifts with the world.
