Special Education Teacher

How long have you been teaching at SJS and what is your educational background?

I've been teaching at SJS since 2005. I attended and received my Bachelor’s Degrees in Special Education and Regular Education at UW-Eau Claire.

Why did I become a teacher?

I became a teacher because I love working with kids and I wanted to make a difference in their lives.

Why do I love working at SJS?

I love the community we have created here. It feels like one big family with students, staff, teachers, parents, grandparents and parishioners. I also love that we can teach about God’s love everyday in every situation.

What does student success look like to me?

Student success is when each individual student can learn and grow at their own level. They are given the tools to be successful no matter what their ability level is. This helps them to grow in confidence so that they can succeed academically and in life.
