How long have you been teaching at SJS and what is your educational background?

I attended Snead State Junior College on a basketball scholarship and earned an Associates Degree before transferring to and graduating from the University of AL – Birmingham (UAB) with my B.S. in Secondary Math Education.

Why did I become a teacher?

My desire has always been to help students become independent thinkers and problem solvers.

Why do I love working at SJS?

SJS is a close-knit, loving community of people working together to raise strong and faith-filled children.

What does student success look like to me?

Success means that my students are learning, growing, and becoming confident in their abilities.

Favorite Sports Team or Hobby?

I love playing games with my family!
