Custodian / Maintenance

How long have you been teaching at SJS and what is your educational background?

I've been a part of the SJS team since 2012.

Why did I become a teacher?

I became the custodian at St. Joe's because I wanted to do my part in creating a clean, welcoming environment where students can thrive and focus on learning.

Why do I love working at SJS?

"What makes St. Joe's unique is the strong sense of family we share. We're more than just a school—we genuinely care about each student and want to see them succeed to their fullest potential. As a staff, we regularly talk about how we can support each child, and we work together as a team to make that happen.

What does student success look like to me?

"To me, student success goes far beyond academics. While academic achievement is important, I believe it's just one part of a well-rounded student. Success also means growing in faith, compassion, empathy, and even having a good sense of humor. One of the most rewarding moments is when a student feels comfortable enough to share a conversation—or even a joke—with me. That’s when I know we’re truly connecting and supporting their growth.

Favorite Sports Team or Hobby?

Without a doubt, my favorite sports team is the Green Bay Packers—followed closely by all the other Wisconsin teams! When I’m not cheering them on, you’ll most likely find me enjoying one of my favorite hobbies: hunting. I love spending time in the woods whenever I can, especially when I'm with my wife, Sheri, and our children, Jillian and Jonathan. Being outdoors with them is something I truly treasure.
