Mrs. Christie Nielsen

We became an instant part of the SJS family when we moved to WI and our 4 children (Brian, Steven, Kayla, and Stacie) attended and graduated from St. Joseph School. They all went on to college and are gainfully employed. They have fond memories of their time at SJS. I attended Snead State Junior College on a basketball scholarship and earned an Associates Degree before transferring to and graduating from the University of AL – Birmingham (UAB) with my B.S. in Secondary Math Education.

I grew up in Huntsville, AL. God called our family to WI through my husband looking for a job. We were seeking a Christian school for our children. We found SJS to be exactly the type of environment that we wanted for our children and our family. My most favorite hobbies outside of school are enjoying my adult children and their families, playing games, reading and going on adventures with my husband.

I love my students and the time that I get to spend with them every day – challenging their thinking and choices, encouraging their processes and decisions, and celebrating their accomplishments and growth. My heart has always been to be a loving support for children. It is a blessing to be able to work within a Christian atmosphere to help my students navigate the tough years of middle school to find out all they can be as well as to make a special connection with God for their lives.
